The fresh produce we offer

Cherries

Our cherry production is based on using the highest quality and longest lasting cherry varieties which are currently on the market.   The ripening timetable is staggered allowing us to cover our clients’ needs throughout the long harvest. This possible because of the orientation of the orchards and the wide range in their altitude from between 400m and 1000m.     Weather permitting, the season for selling cherries run from April through to August.

Picota Cherries

The traditional Picota cherry is known for its exquisite taste, its crunchy texture, high sugar level and the absence of a stalk.    The distinctive qualities of the Picota Cherry and particularly of the Ambrunes variety (the “Queen of the Picotas”) has been recognised through a Protected Designation of Origin “Cereza de Jerte”   Weather permitting, the season for selling Picota cherries runs from May through to August.

Claudia Plum (Greengage Plum)

Our Claudia plums are a high-quality fruit with a delicious, distinctive taste.    The large number of daylight hours and the ideal harvest times of our production areas means that this plum has a high sugar content and an unmistakable colour.   Weather permitting, the season for selling Claudia plums runs through from June to August.

Dried Figs

Our dried figs are a 100% natural product. The figs are dehydrated by means of a handcrafted sun-drying process followed by selection and preparation. Then, they are subjected to robust and strict quality control checks to guarantee food safety and quality.    They are free of any additives or preservatives, simply dried under the Extremadura sun, which gives them an extraordinary and unique taste.    Weather permitting, the season for selling figs runs from October to December.

Chestnuts

Our chestnut production comes from the native plantations in northern Extremadura.    The chestnuts’ sweet taste and non-mealy texture are highly appreciated by our clients   Weather permitting, the season for selling chestnuts runs through from October to December.
